Best of 2013

Wait, it’s February already?
I had a year in review post planned for January, but it got pre-empted by Improv-a-Palooza.
(That happened on my mailing list, not the blog. If you’re not on it, you missed some good stuff!)
It’s a little late for a full review, so instead, here’s my Best of 2013, my favorite things that I made (or had a hand in) last year.
Free stuff I made for you
1) Everything Else is Gravy: why we need mere competence, not excellence (video)
2) Improv vs. Choreography (article)
3) The Big 5 (7-part series on the genres for which just listening to the music isn’t enough)
4) The Routine Rollercoaster (article in Belly Dance New England online magazine)
5)10 Reasons It’s Hard to Watch Yourself on Video (article)
Interviews I held in the Belly Dance Geek Clubhouse
I held 12 geek-tacular interviews on the Belly Dance Geek Clubhouse. They were all awesome, so I couldn’t choose which were the “best”.
So here were the top 5 most downloaded episodes:
1) Anasma & Ranya Renee
Theatrical Techniques for Belly Dancers
2) Leyla Lanty
Essential Arabic for Belly Dancers
3) Julie Eason
The Professional Spectrum
4) Oreet
Dance vs. Dance Fitness classes
5) Princess Farhana
Posing for the Camera
Or if you want to decide for yourself, you can find them all in the Clubhouse archives.
My video grandbabies
My first 4 video grandbabies came into the world!
(Those are the videos created by my clients in my Make Your First Belly Dance Video course.)
Congrats to:
Amity: Online classes for Raq-On Studio
Heather: Belly Dance for the Busy Everyday Woman
Huraiva: Belly Dance for Every Body
Zana: Double Veil Delight
And the next one will be out very soon. But I’m not allowed to talk about it yet, so SHHHH!
