Geek Out with Nada El Masriya!

Beledi – The Music, The Dance & The Culture

Belly Dance Geek Clubhouse Episode #75:
My guest, Nada El Masriya will talk with us all about beledi.

When you hear the word “baladi” or “beledi” (and other spellings as well), what do you think of? The dance, the music, the rhythm (more appropriately called masmoudi saghir)? Nada will chat with us all about the different aspects of baladi in Egyptian culture.

You’ll learn:

  • The different parts of baladi music composition
  • An in depth look at the baladi dance style
  • Culture of the baladi people

We’ll also have some discussion time, so you can ask Nada your questions.
