About Sonya:
Starting her love affair with belly dance in March of 1996, Sonya has become ambassador of Oriental dance in Chicago, striving to elevate the public perception through performances and education. In 2006 she was accepted by audition into Mahmoud Reda’s 1st certification program in Cairo Egypt, after 10 years of dedicated dance training. Sonya is proud to own & run Chicago’s largest belly dance school and presents her beloved dance with the dignity & grace it deserves.
