Episode 16 of the Belly Dance Geek Clubhouse:
My guest, Aegela, will talk to us about the life and work of Mahmoud Reda, founder of Egypt’s famous Reda Troupe.

About Aegela

Aegela, originally from Atlanta, GA and now residing in Toledo, OH has been actively involved in Middle Eastern Dance for 35 years.  She teaches multi-level classes weekly and seminars throughout the US, and has developed dance programs for the visually impaired, the hearing impaired and for use with occupational therapy programs.  Aegela was the first non-Arab to dance in Alexandria, Egypt and was awarded a Lifetime Performer’s License by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture.  She has studied extensively with legendary Egyptian dancer/choreographer, Mahmoud Reda, and now with his blessing and encouragement is conducting seminars on the Reda Technique.
