About Amity

Amity Alize is the founder of Raq-On Dance Studio and Director of the Raq-ettes Dance Troupe.

Amity is also an Event Organizer and Workshop Host to national and international stars, Business Advisor for Dancers, and a Teacher/Mentor to thousands of students.

She promotes positive self-esteem and body love through a warm, encouraging environment and has won an Educational Program Award for Middle Eastern Dance on a collegiate level.

She has studied Middle Eastern Folkloric and Oriental Dance for over a decade, predominantly under Alia Thabit and Julie Eason. She has also attended over a hundred master workshops including travelling to the Middle East. She performs at weddings, celebrations, in theatre shows, and with live bands.
